Nexplanon vs. the patch?!

UGH 😭😭😭 I've been wanting the implant for so long but chickened out before my appointment and got the patch instead. I am so scared of having a lot of bleeding (some women say they bleed for weeks/months at a time) and I also hate being irregular BUT the implant is SOOO effective and safe and the patch really worries me. Any words of advice? Please help me. I AM sexually active and I need the best protection I can get :/

I've had both. I had the implant for about 6 months and just for it removed not too long ago bc I had a constant period since I got it put in and I was kinda fed up with it. It worked great for preventing pregnancy tho but the side affects just weren't worth it. I switched to the patch and so far so good.

I'm on my second implant. Got this one a year ago, I lot it. You may have some irregular periods, however your body should give you plenty of warning. I love it so much, it's safe and I never have to think about it. Hope that helps, if you have any qs let me know. 😀👌🏾
