Is it true what they say about having a 2nd child?

Question

This will be my second pregnancy. I have a 5 year old daughter and I am 6 weeks pregnant. People say that once you have your 1st child, you tend to show quicker with your second. Is this true or a myth? Either I'm just gaining weight or my baby bump is coming in early. Any 2nd time or 3rd time mommy's out there than could elaborate.

I'm on my 2nd child and I was as big as I am now, the whole pregnancy with my daughter..now I'm almost 7 weeks and I'm huge lol it's because your abdominal muscles aren't as tight as they were before your first pregnancy..everything already been stretched out!

I guess it depends on ur body. I didnt show earlier with my 2nd but i also have a 6yr age gap between my boys. My youngest is 2 and i popped right out by 10 weeks with this pregnancy. I think it has alot to do with the gap and just how ur body responds. This time everything sorta fell into place lol. But my second was alot like my first with slowly showing, cramps and stretching ect.. which drove me crazy cause i wanted my bump. This time... i MISS MY JEANS!!!😭

I started showing at 14 weeks with my second pregnancy. And was them in maternity clothes, I think this is a true statement.

I am already feeling down cause i dont see my bump yet on my first pregancy my belly just show about 8 months and half ir barely shows and when it did i was in labor.😒 i was like omg i am pregnant i will show soon because is my second kid. People don't believe i am pregnant.😞

I'll be 19 weeks on Thursday and I think I'm much bigger now than my first pregnancy, which was 18 years ago. Lol!

True for me. I'm on my second pregnancy and i started showing early. So much bigger at this point then with my first.

According to my doctor it's somewhat true. Not for everyone, but some women do show earlier if they've had a baby before. I didn't show earlier necessarily but I'm slightly bigger at 16 weeks with this pregnancy than I was at 16 weeks with my daughter. I literally just started showing though.
