My son won't sleep at night???

Question

Ok so my son is 6 months until recently he has been going to bed around 8:30 and not waking up til about 3:30 now he wakes up every 2 hours. He is teething and is exclusively breastfed and he when he wakes it is to eat. Could it be he's still hungry should I give him some baby food earlier in the afternoon before his bath time? Thanks!

Try not letting your LO take longer than 2.5 hr naps during the day. I've read that will help them sleep better at night. I'm trying it now with my LO. She's only 2 weeks old and it seems to be working slowly. She'll sleep for 3 hours at a time at night now. I'm going by the Moms on Call schedule which I highly recommend

Give your son some cereal at bedtime with hia bottle (if he will take one). As you stated that he is teething too... give him some Baby Tylenol, and it will work wonders for him.  If you are unsure of how much tylonel to give him.. talk with your nurse and she will be able to tell you. But on the side of the box.. it should be only 0.5ml every 4-6hours.

If he's 6 months you can give him food for sure. Also, my daughter wakes up a lot when she learns new skills, she woke up constantly when she learned to crawl. It's a normal thing babies do, so that's something to keep in mind.

And if he's growing, he might need some extra milk from time to time.

If he takes a bottle.. pump and give cereal in last bottle before bed .
