How do I tell my bf he gave me genital herpes? He doesn't know he has them and I know I got them from him because I've only slept with one other guy besides him and he's slept with many girls 10 plus. The girl he slept with before he met me gave him chlamydia which he gave me when we first started dating, we got that taken care of but I'm I just found out I have herpes... I myself don't even know what to do with myself! I'm so depressed and just can't believe it, like I've only been with 2 guys and there's been girls who have been with many more than me and don't get them. Like why me? What did I do so wrong to deserve something like this!

Just tell him its his responsibility to get tested. If you had an std before from him are you sure he's not cheating on you considering you didn't have herpes before  ?

People can transmit genital herpes when they've never even had a sore. Many people with Herpes are completely assympomatic for many years, even their whole life, but will nevertheless shed virus about 10-20% of the time. Honestly Herpes is so common and so low profile you should assume everyone has it. Sorry, it sucks. Let him know, but you can't assume it was even him. It could easily have been the other guy and you're the one that gave it to your current bf. This is why abstinence and condoms are the only way to go until you're ready to be monogamous and have had your chosen partner tested for everything.

Herpies can be dormant for years it is very possible that you could have gotten then from your ex or that he has had them the whole time with out knowing they will usually only test for herpies if you see an out brake as that's the best way to test alot of ppl think that when they get tested they get tested for everything but that's not always the case at all . I would talk to him about it and he needs to get tested but it's not fair to assume he's cheating or that he knows he has them because he may not

Sadly herpes is very common now. Most don't even know they have it. Use condoms and both of you go get tested, but you could have gotten it from the other guy you were with. You don't really know.
