Sexual Assault
Society tends to view Sexual Assault as synonymous with rape, and as a result, there are many stories of non-rape sexual assault that get brushed aside. This post is an open place where women who are survivors of violent or unwarranted/unconsented sexual coercion, touching/groping, kissing, and other forms of verbal and non verbal harassment can share their stories and be supported.
***Everyone has their own definitions, but generally speaking rape describes penetrative sex without consent, whereas sexual assault/abuse is a broader term. Molestation tends to describe sexual violence toward a child. Both are forms of sexual assault, but are more specific.***
