VBAC possibility is already out the window at 11 weeks

I'm pretty bummed, but trying not to let it affect me. My first pregnancy I got severe preeclampsia at 33 wks and something days and delivered my son via c section one week later. I was induced because the preeclampsia was putting us in danger. But everything they did to induce me wasn't progressing anything after 2 days and I wasn't allowed to eat during that time! I was scared of the idea of a cesarean and just always assumed I'd give birth vaginally but that didn't happen. So I ended up having a csection.
I'm pregnant with baby #2 and was hoping for a VBAC. But was told by my doctor that based on history, he will not be able to induce me at all because of the risk of my uterus rupturing and that if I didn't go into labor naturally, I have to have a csection. He just made it seem like my chances of laboring naturally were slim to none. But who knows, we'll see I guess.
