Am i allergic to the pads i wear during my period?

I've been wearing pads during my period since I started it when I was 13, but lately I've noticed a change. I've notice that " down south" is irritated to the point where its uncomfortable. Plus its red and soar. Could I be allergic to the type of pads I wear?

Possibly. However I got that problem too and it got so bad my skin would rub off like a bad diaper rash. I had to switch to tampons because of it. You could always try changing them more often though so there's not moisture sitting on your skin for long

It could be but it's more likely a diaper rash. Make sure you change them often so your skin doesn't get irritated. If all else fails you could switch to tampons :)

Also, you can try switching brands. Something similar happened to me but it stopped upon switching to a new brand.

I get this on and off, for me it's like I get nappy rash lol. I find that I can only wear very soft cotton pads and change them a lot! That solves it for me but if I get stuck somewhere and can't change the pad as often as I'd like it still comes back. I also find it gets very bad if I use the pads that are scented.
