Genetic testing?

Question

I have decided not to have the testing done, but now am questioning my choice, is there anyone else on the fence about it?

I'm 10 weeks pregnant and I keep going back and forth about the test too. My thought is even if there is something wrong with my child I will keep it and love it no matter what! I just pray over my baby and I know God is taking care of both of us.

I'm going in for testing next week. Even if I decide to continue I would like to be the most prepared I could be. Im not high risk for anything however if I found that my baby would have genetic issues that would prevent he or she from living a long happy life I would have a decision to make. It's a personal choice but to me if for whatever reason my baby had either of the trisomy's that would cause them not to live past a certain age I would want to know!

My obgyn told me that 9 times out of 10, when a test says there could be a chance of something wrong, it's wrong and the baby is perfectly healthy. And that would just cause a lot of anxiety, so I decided not to do the testing!

I'm doing it. I don't want to go through the process of pregnancy only to lose my child a few years later. I want to be as prepared as possible if there are any abnormalities and I want my child to live a happy and healthy life.
