Ovarian cysts. Can someone who knows anything about them please read because I'm so confused

I'm sorry if this is too long but I'm really confused. I had a pelvic scan two weeks ago and I was told everything was fine and perfect. The sonographer showed me the follicle that was going to release an egg and told me I was ovulating from my right side this month. And I got my first positive opk last week and had the pains in my right side so I definitely ovulated. When I went to the doctor 2 days ago and asked her to chase up the results she said everything was perfect there was just a cyst but "it depends where you were in your cycle" which I didn't understand what she meant by that. However, at my scan the woman showed me everything she was looking at on the screen me and my mom was watching everything and she didn't measure any cyst on any of the ovaries. She said both ovaries are perfectly normal and wished me luck on my first time ttc. I've read up different kinds of cysts and it couldn't have been any of them because of course at my doctor's appointment she would have explained what kind of cyst it was and the size and I'm sure the woman doing the scan would have had to measure the size of it. So I'm thinking seeing as nothing was measured and I got told both ovaries are perfect and my doctor said "it depends where you were in your cycle" does this mean this "cyst" is actually nothing and completely normal? Does everyone get a "cyst" at some point in their cycle or something that's normal? Or was the doctor referring to the follicle that the sonographer showed me?
