Late period

My period is 10 days late. A couple weeks ago I felt horrible cramps and my boobs really hurt. So I obviously figured I was about to get my period within a couple days or within the week and nothing ever came. I'm now 10 days late. 2 days ago when I wiped, there was like brown little clots and mucus. And that's never happened to me before. When I start my period or even when I'm a few days late, it's never been brown. But that was the only time and it stopped and I haven't seen anymore of it and I'm not bleeding yet either. My boob's aren't that sore but I'm having crAmps still. Should I take a test? Just scares of it being a negative.
