Gender and the heartbeat?

So legend has it that the babies heartbeat is linked to their gender! I have a fetal Doppler at home and went to my 14 week appointment last week. Baby's heartbeat stays between 145-150. Everyone has told me the higher the heartbeat it's a girl and the lower the heartbeat it's a boy. What's everyone general heartbeat and has this been proven with any of your previous pregnancies if this isn't your first one? I'd love to hear everyone's feedback!

I had an ultrasound at 
8w5d and my baby's heartbeat was 177 then at 
11 weeks heartbeat was 170 then my most recent at 14 weeks and the baby's heartbeat was 150. Shortly after that We found out we are having a Boy💙. In my opinion the heartbeat myth is false. Don't base the baby's gender only on that or don't even rely on it.

Not true! My daughters heartbeat was always 140 150 and now I'm 16+1 with my baby boy 💙👶🏼 and his rate is always 170 166 ❤️

So false! I was convinced I was having a boy because the HB was 147 at first us and then 133. I'm having a girl!

Having a girl and at 16w appointment her heart rate was 158. Ive known women with baby boys HR at 180. Every baby is different regardless of gender differences

Not true! Heartbeat was 182 and it's a boy!! I thought for sure it was a girl with everyone's predictions just based on heartbeat. ❤️

My baby's heart rate has been pretty high almost my entire pregnancy (as high as 171 bpm). Yesterday, it was 160 bpm and I'm having a very active baby boy 👶🏽
