Oral pill for induction?

I don't know what the name is (it's not cervidil) but my doctor said they will give me an oral pill to soften cervix and ripen. Anyone has experienced this?

I'm currently being induced with cytotec. It's a pill inserted every 4 hours. I'll be checked at 9pm to see how much I've dilated since starting it at 5pm. Mild contractions every 2-4 minutes so far

I was given it after my water broke and I was only 1 cm dilated. I forgot the name as well but it started with an M. Within several hours I was having contractions and dilated to 2cm and thinned to 85%

I took it. Can't remember the name.. I took one dose orally and one vaginally. And then they have me pitocin through my IV. It wasn't bad. The induction tool you want avoid is the balloon 😳 I'm pretty sure it was designed by satan himself
