Twins?!

So I'm curious how everyone is having twins! Almost half the posts I see are about twins! That's crazy! 
My question to you ladies, is it in your family to have twins? 
Or how possible is it to have twins when you have one set of twins in your cousin line?

Only fraternal twins are genetic.

I am an identical twin and my mother has a twin brother and sister who are fraternal. We are only having one baby. Honestly it was a huge relief as we only want one child

I just found out I'm having fraternal twins today!  Completely surprised me, I have twins in my family but they are my cousins and are identical.  But I suppose I'm older (30), and it's more common to release two eggs when you're over 30 (so I've been told).

My Mum is a twin (identical) and my Dad is a twin (fraternal) and I am only carrying one baby. My first baby (that I lost in Oct 2015) was also singular. Was kind of expecting twins on my second time round but no, wasn't meant to be. I guess it's just luck of the draw; you never know what you're going to get!

My husband has twins in his family and we found out at our 8 weeks scan. We go back for our 12 week scan on June 6. Well closer to 13. Hoping everyone is still ok! I'm very overwhelmed by it while my husband is ecstatic lol

I just found out yesterday we are having twins, I'm still shocked! I am 35, which could be a factor, but neither my husband or I have twins in our family. Luck of the draw I guess! Still processing it all today...phew!

Ours are most likely two eggs which can be genetic but we don't have it in our family. However I am 36 which means I am more likely to release two eggs.

Im having fraternal twins. My aunty had fraternal twins but thats it for twins in our family so was a big shock.
