Jealousy - Detrimental to a relationship??

Question

I know a lot of people think jealousy is a bad thing and causes paranoia and trust issues, which I totally agree with - to an extent.
 
On the other hand I believe it shows you care for someone and don't want to lose them.
 
Thoughts?

And just to be clear, I don't mean controlling or over-protective "jealousy".

Jealousy is okay in VERY small doses. I'm talking like- we all get a little insecure sometimes. However, that is NOT attractive, it's not normal and you need to Allow Your partner to love you deep enough to soothe those pains. If you don't, they will feel like they are failing and could never do enough. So on occasion, be insecure. We all are at times. In the long haul, be a strong Stone Age woman who knows her worth, beauty, and power. For the men, same thing. Signs of regular jealousy are signs of insecurity and often times GUILT. Usually the one who is jealous is the one who is doing wrong. 👌✌🏼️🙏🏼

there's a healthy amount of jealousy and an unhealthy amount of jealousy when it comes to relationships. jealousy is a normal emotion, but when it compromises trust and happiness and mutual respect, that's when it becomes detrimental.

It's totally normal for me and my boyfriend, we are both pretty jealous and I love that he is jealous, I'd be worried if he wasn't! But not ever controlling in any way :)

I think jealousy can be a good thing. It's amazing that someone loves you and cares for you enough to be jealous sometimes but I think there is a limit to how jealous a person should get. I have been with a man who was come telly controlling and was jealous all the time and that is NOT healthy but I do think it's nice when my boyfriend gets jealous sometimes and vice versa - it shows how much we love and mean to each other IMO

No i think its a normal part of any relationship! It is a part of how you and your partner set up bounderies as a couple. People can make it into a bad thing tho...

Jealousy is good in moderate amounts and as long as the person isn't letting you hang out with or talk to certain people (for no reason)
