Who has done L&D with no epidural?

Me! 🙋🏼 It was the most difficult and *amazing* thing in the world. I wouldn't have it any other way! We plan on doing it all the same way again in June. With our 1st, I had 12 hours of Pitocin and a 19 hour labor. However, I only pushed for 15 minutes! My #1 recommendation is to be prepared and be educated. If you want to go natural, make your mind up now and stick with it! I don't know a single woman who went into it saying "we'll see how it goes" and ended up going med free. You absolutely have to be deliberate! #2 you need a rock solid partner!! My husband was my doula and he was absolutely incredible!! He was also 100% committed to going med free, because he knew that's what I wanted. Really, that's about it, for me. Going in knowing that meds were absolutely not an option, and having a partner that I trust completely to cheer me on when I thought I couldn't go anymore. Those 2 things got me through! Of course, also, a LOT of prayer 😊 If I can do it, you can do it! As my husband would say...Here's to finding your Rambo Moment!! 💪🏻

I did it, by accident :-)  I labored at home for about 7.5 hours. By the time we got to the hospital there was no time for an epidural. All I did was lay on the couch and try to breathe through the contractions. Sorry I can't offer more than that.

I did...I only had I meds u need to have someone there who's a GREAT back rubber with patience. .. lol..l but true and find a breathing technique that works best for you and you'll be just fine.

I did... I just went with my mind set to no meds... I didn't even consider epidural an option... I think if you do you more than likely will end up getting it... I don't remember at any point thinking i wanted it... Got to the hospital at 930pm 6cm dilated... By 1230 9cm... It was a little hard to push because he was a little big (8.10lbs) but pushed a few times only and he was out.. People in the room knew what i wanted even nurse... They knew not to offer me meds... If everything goes well i will be doing the same in june

I was induced with no epidural. They gave me morphine for the pain b/c there was no time for an epidural.
I'm probably going that route again if anything. It didn't take the pain away completely, so I could feel the contractions and when to push, but it also allowed me to relax and rest for a while.
