Baby shower drama!
Hello ladies,
I need to vent to other mommys and moms to be..... Possibly get some feedback about my situation.
A friend of ours asked me a few weeks ago if our shower was invite only or open. I said it was Sort of invite only but was flexible and asked who she wanted to bring(assuming it was a date or something).
She asked for three people..... I spoke to my hubby and we said ok because we kind of knew one but we didn't know the other two she wanted. Figured she wanted extra company or something.
So yesterday she texted me and informed me that she was bringing an additional guest with her.
I was outraged.... I already said yes to three.... You can't bring another! It's not a club! It's a baby shower! That means she wanted 4 people!
The one we did know bailed so she was planning on brining 3 people who didn't know instead of two which I felt we gracious allowed to begin with.
I told her I needed to speak to my BF. He was upset and said he wanted to message her asking her to Limit it to the two guest because of space and food. He doesn't want that many people we aren't close with there.
She made it clear she was pissed I didn't just respond and that she wasn't comin anymore.
Today she was trying to text me and basically putting the blame on me. Like I'm going against what I said and I should have communicated with my hubby more.
She changed her people and was trying to bring more! It was unacceptable. I never said it was open invite and to bring whomever you want..... I feel if I didn't nip it in the but now she would have brought even more...
Am I being unreasonable?
He tells me she is being childish and not to responden anymore. I haven't but it's really bothering me.
Any opinions?
Would you have done the same?
