LMP vs GA? What to go with?

Question

So I have a question. I went in for my first ultrasound this past Thursday and the baby measured 11w5d, which was four days ahead of my LMP and the doctors calculations. (11w1d)

Do you base how far along you are according to the baby, or your LMP? I am more inclined to go with the baby- especially since i will be 12 weeks today vs. 11w3d.

I noticed that they base it on baby's size. Both my sisters have small babies so the doctor said that they are not due till like 2 months after they gave birth. 😄

At this point I think it's based off baby's growth. LMP is just a baseline to start from because most women won't know exactly when they ovulated and conceived.

Go with what your doctor says. I thought I was a week ahead of what my baby is at. You probably ovulated earlier than you thought. I obviously ovulated later.
