Moses basket?

Hey ladies, I'm trying to decide whether to buy a moses basket or not?  Where would your baby sleep otherwise?  What do you all use until the baby is big enough to sleep alone in their cot bed? Thanks in advance!

I'll use a moses basket for the first few months.  I used one with my nephew and they are brilliant because they're portable and you can keep the baby near you through the day wherever you are in the house. They're also great if you're visiting friends or family because they go with you and the baby can sleep in a familiar place wherever.  I'll have a stand in our bedroom next to the bed for at night, but the rest of the time the basket will just be wherever I am.

I have a moses basket and a cotbed. I will use the moses basket from birth until ahe hates being in it or outgrows it and then move her into the cotbed (which is already up). I haf both of these for my son too amd he went into a cotbed at 8 weeks as he was unsettled in the moses basket into his 8th week and he wasn't a big baby either just preferred to have a more open space.

I had a bassinet that was also a Moses basket... like the basket can be taken out. It's the Contours Classique Wood Bassinet. We loved it! Used till 4 months, then switched to a crib.

We had a moses basket and it was great but my daughter grew out of hers by 4 months so I'd definitely make sure you get a larger size if you go for one!
