If the school system to strict on appearance at school

This isn't exactly what is sounds like. I just was on a post about being able to dye your kids hair & when you think it's okay & I saw somebody that said children weren't allowed to have died hair at their school. Am I the only one who thinks it's totally ridiculous ?  I already am against dress code because I think we should have to learn to dress aproriately for real life situations & also it empowers victim blaming. aside from that I'm just wondering your opinion on school dress codes or over involvement in the way kids look or are dressed
