Ttc. Husband is kinda freaking out!

So me and my husband have been ttc for almost a year subconsciously and about 8 months consciously... so here's the issue I guess. My husband has only one testicle (born that way ) and hes terrified that he's the reason we haven't been successful. I however have really sketchy periods. I honestly believe it will just take time but he's kinda heartbroken about it. He wants to get his sperm tested and I'm all for it, I'm just wondering if anyone has any success stories. I need a little advice.
