Is this weird?

His mom threw me a shower last weekend and made me leave everything at her house so the guys in the family can have a special viewing when we're all there. None of us have time to work this into our schedules as our work times vary, so it'll sit there forever before we can all do it. The more I think about it, the more I think it's strange.

Viewing for the gifts you received? Are the guys really even interested? That's very strange to me. 1. Why have a viewing, it's like "come look at all the stuff I have isn't it great?!" 2. Who cares about looking at diaper bags and changing pads and everything else you get? Lol tell her you need to nest and get that stuff set up! Take a picture, literally it'll last longer

My husband didn't even care about the stuff with got with our first until he realized how much stuff everyone got us and saved us money! Guys do not care. Your mom is being weird by making you keep it there. Nobody wants to be moving stuff right before baby is expected to come. Bring it to ur house and they can come see it there.

I would find that really annoying it's your things for your baby so surely you need them at your house? If you're like me and what to try and be mega organised I'd be going mad xx

To top it off, I've been sick since Friday. I have a cold, a nonstop headache, ear infection and a sinus infection. I told her all of this yesterday and even mentioned that I was calling in sick to work today. I just got a text asking if we wanted to come over for dinner tonight. *facepalm* Yes, I'd love to make your priorities my priorities, especially when I'm sick, exhausted and most likely contagious. Smdh.

That is totally something my MIL would do lol
So I definitely feel your pain. I would just tell her you have a lot of work to do and that you need to get everything ready. There is absolutely no reason the guys need a showing and it is likely just an excuse to keep your stuff because then she feels like she's in control. My MIL is a nut with stuff like that and unless you shut her down, it will never end lol good luck!
