Has this happened to anyone here?

In October 2015 I lost a baby girl at about 13.5 weeks. My pregnancy and the baby were totally fine up until the day I miscarried, and afterwards, after testing the fetal tissue, my blood, etc. a cause was never pinpointed. My doctors were also of the opinion that I did not have an incompetent cervix. What still haunts me is that when I went to the hospital due to bleeding and contractions, they did an ultrasound and the baby was still alive. They said her heartbeat appeared normal yet I was dilated and the baby was lowering into the birth canal, so it seemed I would inevitably miscarry, which of course I did. The doctors said even though their tests found nothing wrong it is possible there was some kind of genetic defect that their testing wasn't able to detect. But in just about every account of misscarriage I have read, an ultrasound showed the baby had already died, unless the fetus passed in the bleeding before a doctor could check it out. Has anyone here lost a baby that was still living? I just found out today that I am pregnant again so of course along with being thrilled I am very worried. Thank you for reading.
