Was anyone else nervous/scared to find out the sex?

Seems like everyone is so excited and can't wait. I'm almost 21 weeks and find out Mon and I'm so scared and nervous about it and I don't know why. I'm excited to be a mother and don't care the sex but I'm having weird feeling of not wanting to know. I would wait till birth if it weren't for my fear of not being prepared. I feel like when I know the sex its going to go by so fast 4 months eek and I wont be prepared (stuff) not mentally. Its just so real once you find out the sex I guess. Probably should mention this is my first! Maybe thats why im feeling this way.

I'm both! We have 2 boys between us and I'd really like a girl. I've been convincing myself it's a boy so I can work on being ok with that. I'm excited to know but also nervous. Find out on the 10th June

I was really nervous to find out. This is my first pregnancy and we found out around 14weeks with a gender reveal after doing the special blood test. I've always wanted kids and my fiancé and I are so excited, but I was still scared to know because it made it that much real... plus finding out that early before anatomy scan also made me nervous because we didn't know that our little girl was developing properly etc yet too. I totally get how you're feeling. It makes it more real!

I don't know the sex and I don't know if I want to know.
Once you know, it can't be undone!

I will ask them if the want to write it down instead and put it in an envelope, that way I have the option later if I really need to know.
My sister did that with both pregnancies and never opened the envelope. She says just knowing she could know was all she needed.
Maybe that works for you?

Anywho, it's ok if you don't want to know, it's ok to be scared, but that baby is there to stay, even if you know the sex or not. That won't change.

I was more excited but I did get the occasional bout of anxiety. I was more worried that they wouldn't find a heart beat or see something terribly wrong. I also had a strong feeling it was a boy. Turns out baby is fine and sleeps with both hands on the side of her cheek like me! Oh and she's a girl too! So needless to say I had to rethink everything I had planned about a boy nursery and name but it was amazing just seeing her! Gender was one of the last parts of the scan so hopefully seeing your little one will make you less nervous about the gender or gives you time to change your mind about finding out. You could also ask the tech to write it down for you so you can find out whenever you're more comfortable. Good luck!
