Any one use an IUD? If so, any reviews?

I have very painful periods and tried birth control pills but they are not as effective for me due to a busy schedule, college and my inability to remember to take them. An IUD is one thing I've been thinking about. I need help with this decision.

After having my son back in 2012, I got the para guard iud, it has no hormones and was supposed to be good for 10 years. But stupid thing failed on me and when my son was a year and 4 montjs, I got pregnant, with twins!!! Lol. I just got the mirena iud put in around March and this one is supposed to be good for 5 years and it does have hormones and let me tell u I hate. I've been spotting nonstop since I had it, it barely stopped yesterday and today so far nothing. I've gained like 3-4 pounds that I knt seem to drop, and my hair has been falling out like crazy. So I got a permanent birth control called essure like 3 weeks ago but I still have to have the mirena in for 3 months as a back up so that way the doctors can be sure that the essure implants itself into my tubes in the 3 months. My doctor told me that I iud wasn't a great idea unless you have already had a baby ? Something to do with the size of your uterus .. Plus I have heard horror stories about girls who have had to get histarectamines after having there Mirenas get lodged up there 😷😷😷😷😷😷

You could try the implant ? It's a matchstick sized implant that a doctor puts in your bicep area and you are protected for 3 years and it has a 
99.7 % protection rate ?
