Lying down with legs up after sex?

Question

How many people lay down after sex with their legs elevated? I read to do this and then read it doesn't really help. I've done it before but normally I just turn over and try to go to sleep. :)

People say it doesnt help or make a difference but i have many friends that swear by it.. Cant hurt!

That's what I did when I got pregnant the first time. I have no idea if it actually helped, though. The second time I wasn't really trying, no legs in the air or laying still for 15 minutes, I just got up and cleaned up in the bathroom right away after and the little guys still managed to make it up there lol.

I'll just say this, 3 rounds of cloud and nothing. The next cycle after the clomid, got preggo. Had sex 2x and put my legs up both times. 14w2d now. May not be why but when you have iui, they elevate you bottom. Worth a try.

I've read both things too. The TTC do's n don'ts seem to not really be absolutely. What works for one may/may not work for another but I'll try anything. Interestingly enough my doc told me on my last visit to lie on my back for 15 min. Again, I'll try anything. 36 yrs old, TTC for #1 for 6 months. Good luck!

Thanks everyone--I was just curious on everyone's thoughts. I would do it sometimes and we've been trying for 12 months and notta thing 😢😢. Doctor on June 21 though--my hubs is getting concerned and frustrated.

I never did that. I got up right after to go pee. I suppose if they aren't super fast swimmers it coukd help

Not really gonna help... If he ejaculates, whatever is gonna reach the egg is from that, not from the rest slowly moving into the top of your cervix. Especially if your cervix is closed. It needs the fastness/intensity of actual ejaculation to get they the cervix opening and up into the uterus.
