When did you do your pregnancy announcement?

I know doctors recommend to wait til you're closer to 12 weeks because there is a higher chance of miscarriage in the first trimester but I am about to burst. We have told all the important people already. People at work are starting to talk and I'm denying it for now because I want a real announcement - they can see that I'm bloated and my boobs have gotten bigger!

12 weeks for social media announcement, but most our friends and family knew by 8 weeks. Our best friends and close family knew the night we got a BFP! We had been trying for a year and were so excited to finally see two lines. We also knew if something happened, all the people we told were people we'd go to for support.

My first immediately, my second 12 weeks, this baby unless you have seen me you wouldn't know. We have kept this one very low key (for personal reasons) and haven't posted anything about it.

You sound like me! I'm almost 12 weeks and I keep joking with my husband that I'm going to end up not telling anyone ever, and 6 months from now I'll still be in perfect denial. All the important people in my life know, but I'm very afraid to share with others. My last pregnancy, I waited until I was 11 weeks--it was twins, and I just posted the iltrasound of them atop our table tree. But because my pregnancy ended at 28 weeks, and my daughter passing away two weeks later, I really want to wait to share until later--unfortunately I still get asked about 'my twins' a lot, from people who don't know still, even a year later. I'm also struggling with when/how to announce to the 'general public'!

With our daughter, we waited until after our first appointment at 10 weeks. I'm 7 weeks with number 3 and we're telling the family next weekend. 
I personally believe if you want to tell people, do it.

I told my family and close friend when I found out and that was at 6 weeks. I told everybody else when I was almost 14 weeks on Valentines Day.

I was 6+2 when we told family and 10 weeks when I announced it!! The last time I waited until about 9 weeks!! I wanted to wait longer get but it was so hard😁

We announced to our immediate family very early (6 or 7 weeks) but it was christmas and we felt the timing was perfect. We made a public announcement at 9 weeks after we saw and heard the heartbeat. I wanted to wait until the 12 week mark but I just couldn't.
