SO and testing

So my BF and I are on our first month TTCand he wants to look at the pregnancy tests with me. I was kinda sad because I wanted to find out and then tell him in a special way. But at the same time I'm glad he wants to know asap. Idk, how would you ladies feel? Am I just ridiculous for feeling a bit sad? I mean I could always do it for another pregnancy, maybe it's because it'll be our first baby?
