Stabbing pains, Bleeding, and Tissue.😨

I'm 39 weeks tomorrow and have been having stabbing pains, blood on the paper when I wipe and a TINY bit of what looked like red tissue in the toilet. The doctors at the hospital said spotting can be normal but I never had any with my last pregnancy till the day I went into labor. I haven't had any this time up until now but I'm not really wanting to go to the hospital to get sent home for the third time this week. Anyone else had this problem?
