Clomid? Help!

Question

What days did you take clomid? My prescription said to start on CD 5-9, but in my apt. she said to take them CD 3-7. I am confused and my doctor isn't back in her office till Friday. Help!

I changed my CDs each month and conceived when I took it CD3-7, my doctor said he suggests CD5-9, but it is on the women's cycle and timing she finds best. I took it CD3-7 due to my husband being out of town that month and knew I ovulated 12 days after Clomid, so it's up to you- I didn't inform my doctor when I took it.

I was told, when I asked the same question, that day's 3-7 mean ovulating quicker, but days 5-9 means a better quality egg. Not sure if it matters when/if you are young, but personally being 37 I opted for 5-9. Hope this helps.
