Named after a dog?

We don't know what we're having (team green!!) but I absolutely love the name Kacie for a girl.  Problem is, my family used to have a dog (male) named Casey who passed away almost 10 yrs ago.  Would it be inappropriate/weird to use Kacie if we have a daughter?

I think it's a beautiful name 😉

My older sister let my nieces (who were just a couple years younger than me) name their dog Kasey, after me. I was 8 years old. It made me mad, so they called it KK. Lol.

With your situation, it was 10 years ago, you're not naming the baby in honor of the dog, no dog is being named in honor of the child, all is well! 👍

I've always loved Indiana after Indiana Jones lol but for a girl and HE chose his name after a dog. If it's not actually after the dog, then it's a name you chose if you get my drift. It's not "it was my grandmothers middle name and we're naming the baby after her"

Nope. As a child I participated in 4-H. I had several cows as my projects (2 were named Abigail and Madeline) and now I have 2 nieces with both of those names!
