Visits 2x per week. Did you GD moms have to do this?

I just had my 30 weeks check up and my blood sugar numbers and blood pressure are doing great!!! Baby is almost 4lbs. 
However, in two weeks I will start seeing my doctor two times per week. He says it is because I am medicated GDM (I take low dose of metformin before bed). 
Twice a week seems excessive to me, especially since my numbers are good. Doc says these checkups are more for changes in blood pressure as problems with it can come out of nowhere. 
I'm just wondering if anyone else went with such frequency at the end of their pregnancy I'll be having him at 38 or 39 weeks do I guess it's just for the final 6 or 7 weeks but still.

I see my MFM twice a week for scans and I see my OB every 2 weeks. It started this week (32 weeks along)

At 32 weeks I started going twice a week, once for an NST, and once for an NST and an OB checkup. I guess that's pretty standard when you have GD.

I am 24 weeks. At 28 weeks, I start going every 2 weeks til i hit 32 weeks and then i go twice a week for my last 8 weeks. I have high blood pressure, been controlled with medication and then also on Levemir for GD. Everything is controlled at this point but they are anticipating some changes as we progress. I see a diabetes specialist too but hope they dont make me go once a week as well. Just for them to tell me the same thing. I shall find out soon! Good luck everyone!! 😊

Because you're probably going to start taking NSTs twice a week. That's very standard when you have GD.

I see my obgyn once a week and I see my specialist once a week. I am shy of 36 weeks at this point but they recently switched me to weekly at 34.  We do NST and fluid sometimes weight of baby at specialist and regular OB checks at OB. I am GD controlled with bedtime glyburide for my fasting numbers and baby is 55% for growth so everything looks good so far. The specialist mentioned maybe seeing me more as we got closer and I was like uhhhhh no LOL

At 32 weeks I started seeing the specialist for a sono and my ob for a NST. I also take metformin for GD. I see one on Monday and one on Thursday. Kinda sucks but def has made these last few weeks go by fast!
