Does your body make new eggs?

Ok so I am beyond confused. My doctor was explaining to me how my condition was getting worse and do she was going to put me on a stronger chemo drug and it would essentially ruin my eggs.l So my question I guess is that does your body make new eggs? Or am I never having kids. Do I want to do this.

You are born with a set amount of eggs and can't generate more. Once they are gone hey are gone.

If you want kids, I'm sure you could talk to your doctor above freezing your eggs for the future.

If you can, I would suggest freezing your eggs so you can still have children later on. At least then you know you still have that option later on in life since you only have so many eggs and if you can freeze them now, then you can still continue on with the stronger chemo drug.

A lot of people are still under the impression that women are born with a set amount of eggs and after that no more eggs are made. However, it was recently found that women do in fact make more eggs in their life, just an insignificant amount compared to how many one is born with.
