Anyone watched, "The Business of Being Born" on Netflix?

I am obsessed with the movie and the message they have to say! I watched the other documentary on natural births and it was kinda bias.. This one really reached me and felt like they truly cared about the health of Mother and baby! What do u guys think?

I loved it. That movie is what triggered me to research birth and everything about birth. It led me to the decision to have a homebirth. My baby was born all natural at home and I would do again. Best decision I've ever made.

I love it! Even if you don't have a completely natural birth, the information is still great. I got my husband to watch it with me too! Afterwards he was so surprised and now fully supports that I want to do natural

I am all for being as informed and natural as possible but as a Healthcare professional I could tell that some of the statements and opinions are skewed and actually I considered them offensive to obstetricians.

I've had two friends that loved the idea also. They both delivered at a birthing center unattached to a hospital. One nearly died from hemorrhaging and the other's heart rate started to drop and had to be rushed to the hospital. Do your own research about places close to you. No thanks. I'll be delivering in a hospital. As long as it's not a C-section it's a natural birth.

I love that doc but remember to take everything w a grain of salt.  Do your own research as well and decide what is best for YOU and YOUR family.  As much as I love the idea of a home birth I am still not 100% convinced and have decided to have a hospital birth w a doula and a goal to go as natural as possible.

Yes yes yes!!! Love this documentary!!! As someone who has experienced both a vaginal delivery and 2 csections (soon to be 3) I will say, that what this documentary stands for and promotes is RIGHT ON!!!! if it weren't for all the unnecessary interventions with my 2nd baby, I wouldn't have ended up needing repeat csections with all my babies. It makes me so sad, and will never be allowed to attempt a VBAC ever again. Ina May gaskin talks about my type of csection and the fact that midwives will not even allow me to attempt a VBAC because of it. The one exception. So I encourage you all to watch this documentary and become informed and do your research. I wish I had know all this info back with my 1st and 2nd baby...now I'm about to have my 4th baby in a few weeks and it's yet again another csection.😔
