4.5 to 6 pound babies?

Question

Who has had a previous baby that had low birth weight. At 33 weeks my son is only 2lbs and 11oz and his growth is slowing compared to earlier months. So I'm starting to wonder about some things.
1) How much did your baby weigh at birth?
2) Did they stay in Nicu and for how long?
I hate not knowing what is gonna happen.

Ultrasounds are very innacurate. Don't worry about it too much!!

My 1st was born at 38 weeks exactly. He weighed 5lbs 11 oz 19.5 in long. No stay in the NICU. I'm now 36+2 with my 2nd. I expect labor in the next week or so. At 34 weeks they said she was measuring at 5lbs 8oz. I'm scheduled for another measurement ultrasound at 38 weeks, if I'm still pregnant.

My first baby was born at 39 weeks and was only 5.5. Perfectly perfect, no nicu, just teeny 😍👼🏼

My first was 4lbs 6oz.  They induced at 36 weeks because he wasn't growing.  I had to have a c sections because his heart rate dropped.  He didn't have to spend any time in the NICU.  We stayed 4 nights in the hospital then went home. nurses were really worried about him staying warm it was January in Colorado but my pediatrician wasn't so worried.  There is also higher calorie formula if it is needed. Good luck. You will all make it through even though it hard and scare right now.

My 2nd child was born at 35 wks he was 5lbs 4oz we had a 10 day nicu stay due to his lungs not being fully developed

My 2nd baby was born 5lbs 8oz. She had quit growing at 35wks and was induced at 38. No nicu stay. All they did was prick her heels for blood sugar readings every few hours.

My baby was born 5lbs 8 oz he had no complications but did develop jaundice 2 days later..we came home the nxt evening
