Any advice for period sex?

What are the Benifts to having sex on your period? And what is it like! My boyfriend wants to have sex but I just started my period and I'm worried it's gonna be everywhere :( any advice?

I would suggest using a condom during, probably doing it on the first day of the last day just so the blood isn't too heavy and put a towel underneath you or shower right before and let the water run any excess blood so you won't bleed as much during

Condom and LOTS of towels and water (to clean up after) oh and have a tampon in arms reach so you can plug it up without having any spills when you get up (omg i used the wrong wording...plug it up? I'm sorry I could've done better)  and If you don't use tampons have a pad with it already attached to your panties and slip them right on.

Put a towel underneath you, or you can do it doggy style. It won't get so messy.
