Effaced?

Just curious... do you ask your Dr if you're effaced or does he just tell you?  This is my 4th baby and never been told about being effaced they always just tell me how dilated I am and how the baby's position is but never a percentage of effacement...

I go tomorrow for my appt hopefully I get the Dr so I can ask him... his practice has a midwife there too and I never know which one I'm gonna see...

He never told me the first time I got checked so I didn't bother asking, second time I got checked (yesterday) he mention that I'm not 50% effaced so he didn't tell me the first time because I wasn't effaced at all. I would ask though if you're curious.

Mine just tells me but you can ask :)

Both! If she doesn't tell me after telling me how much I'm dilated I ask her the percentage I am effaced. Sometimes she forgets to tell me. You can ask your doctor whatever they have to give you an answer lol

lol I haven't been told either! only that my cervix is softening 😥 which is the same thing, but I'm still curious!!
