Suddenly it hit me

The past few relationships I've had involved a lot of sex. There was never any real relationship (almost like I was being used). It never even occurred to me; that's all I knew. My current boyfriend said how he didn't want our relationship to revolve around sex. He wanted more than just that. After he said that, it hit me... I was never in a real relationship, I was just being used. All this time I thought that's what a relationship was all about, sex. I wanted to cry because of how stupid I was but then again, it was a relief because I found something real.
