Can you ovulate a week after getting a positive OPK?

I was tracking my ovulation with opk in March. I got a positive CD16-19 which would of been the 10th-14th. I found out I was pregnant on the 22nd. When I went in for my scan at 9 weeks she said I looked closer to 8 and probably ovulated a week later than I thought. Which would of been around the 17th-21st. I just don't see how that's  possible since I got a positive on the 22nd at 5 pm and it was a pretty strong positive?

Baby could just be measuring small like they sometimes do. It seems unlikely you'd get a positive test within 3 days of ovulating considering it usually takes at LEAST that much time to implant. Can take up to 10 days to implant and then you usually need at least 3 days from implantation for HcG levels to be high enough to get picked up on a test. I think your dates are right and baby is just a tiny bit small (or she measured wrong). Doctors always assume YOUR the one that is wrong but according to your dates it doesn't make sense for you to have ovulated a week late. I'm fairly certain it's physically impossible to get a positive test within 3 days of ovulating.

This happend with myself i went wrong for ten years trying to conceive thinking as soon as that test went negative again it was up. What many people dont realise is the test picks up the surge before the egg is released. First month we bed danced on negatives and low n behold upon scsn i ovulated just under the week later but tests showed negative clearly as well no discretion about it. I always say to thise ttc bed dance on them negatives for 10days after.
