Tears during labor did you receive any? Where?

I read up on tearing prior to delivery but I had no idea you could also tear upwards towards the clitoris! I got stitches below and top. Only had an 8 lb baby too lol Anyone else with experience care to share wellness and healing tips?

This advice is more for preventing, but I think more women should get on board with perineal massage / vaginal stretching beforehand. It greatly reduces the risk of tearing, but I feel like most people either haven't heard of it or for some reason just  don't do it.

Think of it this way: if someone told you that in 9 months your legs would be forced into the splits, wouldn't you start to do some leg stretches??

3rd degree tear here. Forceps assisted birth! Thank the Lord for numbing cream, percocet and motrin!

I tore with my first baby. They stitched me up but there is a scar. It healed pretty quickly. I made sure to do an Epsom salt sitz bath everyday which helped.

I had an episiotomy with my first. It healed perfectly and couldn't even tell I was cut. I'm hoping I don't need that this time or tesr. My sister in law tore up to her clit and says it's not normal to this day and that was nearly four years ago.

8.6lb 20in.. Tore a few places.. Had my baby on the 20th. Still superrrrrrrr sore.. Ice packs are wonderful

2nd degree tear with stiches plus some grazes. Only advice is keep it clean (with plain water), i didn't try myself but have been told pouring water onto the area when urinating helps with the stinging!

I had one small tear near my urethra, no stitches. Baby was 7 lbs. 11 oz.

I had an episiotomy and ended up with a 4th degree tear. They also had to use the vaccum to assist... 2 weeks and 2 days postpartum and very little pain now

3rd degree tear to the rectum. Vacuum and forceps assisted. Thank god for those percocets and ibuprofen 800s.

All they told me is push when you feel the need ....I was crowning the whole time I felt the urge to push
