How do you bath yourself when you on your period?

My mom says i dont suppose to take showers when im on but it relieve pain and stress so i just wanted to know what yall do

I usually shower but if my cramps are bad I'll take a bath. Your flow usually stops (for the most part) in water so you're usually fine to just sit there in the bath. And when cramps really hurt I don't care about the blood I just want to feel better.

I am a nurse and I can't think of any reason why a shower would physically harm you during your period. I would say do whichever makes you feel better, you'll be fine.

My mom says to take wash ups to keep urself clean and all for everyone but my mom and grandma is like so cautious when u on ur period like dont sweep carpet dont be around Clorox n just weird stuff so yea

Why would you not be able to shower...?? That makes no sense at all. Of course you can shower. A little gross if you don't actually.

Why wouldnt you bathe yourself? Thats just getting dirty by blood and causing more problems for infection. Definitely shower.
