Mirena cramps?

I just got the Mirena in today. These cramps are kicking my butt. I've taken two Ibuprofein but they haven't stopped yet. What will help me?

Had mine Mirena put in Thursday and it took a bit more effort than anyone was expecting (apparently my cervix is a jerk? lol). I had a lot of pain and bleeding. I'm down to light spotting, but the pain is still there. Taking Aleve like clockwork! Did anyone else have issues with insertion? Specifically their cervix refusing to dilate? How long did it take you to feel like normal again?

You'll get used to it. I got my removed after over a year with it and the cramps were pretty horrible

I didn't have cramps until three days after insertion. The first cramp day was kinda scary because I had sharp pains. I took Tylenol and used a heating bad. The other few days were just like regular annoying period cramps. Then I got my period for 7 days 😅

All that helped me was a hot bath. I asked my friend if that was normal and she said that it happened with her as well.

I slept for two days after insertion. When I get hit with cramps at work or when I'm out I just breathe deep and try to ride it out.
