I like the name Axel, but...

I really like the name Axel James if we're having a boy, but my husband and father in law both say it reminds them from some lazy kid from a tv show (the middle?). Whatever it is, I don't watch the show, and my great grandfather was named Axel, so it is a family name and has meaning to me. Is this a really popular show? Would the "lazy" thing be a common stigma against this name of we did name our child Axel? I almost had my husband convinced that it was a decent name, but then my FIL had to go and say the same thing my husband did... Grrrrr
