Mini ivf vs IVF?

Question

I am trying to make a descison and need some real life advice. Has anyone done mini IVF? How many egg retrieved? How many fertilized? A successful pregnancy?

I have pcos. We are fairly young (25/26). I want to only do this once, but want multiple children ( not to be confused with multiples).

Any advice/suggestions/testimonies would be GREATLY appreciated 💕

One option is to do a regular ivf cycle but freeze eggs before fertilization. We are doing that to get the most out of the meds/procedure but still limit the number of embryos frozen.

I'm so late ! But did you make up your mind about mini ivf vs ivf? I'm in the same boat I only have Pcos and unexplained fertility we are 24/26. Doctor recommended mini ivf but we are getting a second opinion because we only want to do this once also !

I think if you want to have more than one kid than regular IVF will give you a better chance of more embryos. My SIL did mini IVF and got two good embryos, implanted both, and has one sweet kiddo. I've had friends who did regular IVF and got four or more embryos and froze some for later. Of course, each person responds differently to the treatments, but mini IVF generally leads to fewer eggs and embryos because the medication protocol isn't as intense.
