When to start preventing stretch marks?

I just found out I'm pregnant. 4 weeks and 6 days. When should I start preventing stretch marks? And what are the best products?

Stretch marks are genetic. If you're going to get them, you're going to get them. You can't prevent them. To help with the itching and lightning the appearance I recommend bio oil (helps a lot with mosturizing and itch) or cocoa butter. Of course, stay hydrated with water. Congrats btw!! :)

It's genetics no way to prevent them but you can start using bio-oil and drinking lots of water.

I for one do not believe it is genetics. Use any oil daily from Second trimester. Use at least twice daily for third trimester. Keep moisturizer or oil in hand for if you feel a bit itchy or stretched... which happens during third trimester.

Start IMMEDIATELY. Seriously the sooner the better. I'm a true testament as to why. I made a "stretchmark cocktail. Basically I bought every product I could find for stretch marks (lotions, body butter, oils, creams, gels etc) & whipped them all together in my blender & used that.
Starting at like 6 weeks, I used it everywhere!.... except my boobs 😥 for some reason, I didn't think to use it on my boobs... don't ask me why.... after i got the first boob stretchmark, that was it, it was all over for my boobs. They're all over them.... as for the rest of my body, NONE! Just goes to show if u get on top of it early enough, they are in fact preventable. I made my stretchmark cocktail because I figure there's no one product will be the magic cure-all for everyone's skin. So if you mix them all together, you're more likely to get what your skin needs

NOW! I got them though even though I started putting lotion and coconut oil on at 4 weeks.

They say it's genetic but my mom did have them not sure whether from her first or second but I did not get them with my daughter. I used cocoa butter from like week 6 when I found out!! Good luck and congrats :)

I would start now. I used sweet almond oil every 2 or 3 days and sometimes lotion other days. Stretch marks are genetic however at nine months I don't have any while my sister got stretch marks during her pregnancy. I bought about 750ml of almond oil on Amazon which has lasted me through the whole pregnancy. Whenever my belly felt itchy I would apply lotion rather than scratch. Good luck.

I used different products, several times a day from the second I knew i was pregnant and I'm covered in stretchmarks. 
I'm very sorry to tell you that it's impossible to avoid them. Using products isn't bad tho, trying doesn't hurt :-)
