Is It Okay To Be Disappointed Of The Gender?

Wanted a girl so bad....
It's a boy (again!).

I have had a roller coaster of emotions since finding out I'm having my third boy. It's been 2 weeks now and I'm finally starting to feel a bit more normal, then yesterday someone I'm friends with announces there 3rd baby is there going to be there first little princess and bam back comes all my emotions and I sat crying to myself most of the evening. I feel so guilty for feeling this way. You are definitely not alone. Looking at old pictures of my other 2 boys as babys and toddlers really helps me see how lucky I am and how I can't wait to to do it all again with my new baby boy xx

Of course it's okay! Just because you wanted one gender over the other doesn't mean you'll love this child any less. It just means you have to get used to the idea of having another boy, because the little girl you were hoping for hasn't happened yet. Don't you ever let anyone knock you for how you feel! You will still be an amazing mom and love that little boy regardless. I may know of 2 moms who haven't experienced gender disappointment and that's only because they had gotten the gender they were hoping for! My entire pregnancy I said I wanted a girl, I found out it was in fact a girl and I found myself a little disappointed it wasn't a boy lol everyone experiences this in some way, at some time!

I am 21 weeks with baby #5 I have a 8 year old son a 6 year old daughter a 3 year old son and a 2 year old son. So I was hoping for a girl but I found out 3 weeks ago I am having another boy and my daughter and I both cried 😢 I am blessed with a healthy baby and that is what matters the most .

Completely understandable I have 6 boys and my last 2 I thought were my last and my 5th I became severely depressed over him being a boy but when he was born he was so adorable and very healthy i felt bad that I had been so upset my 6th was easier to except bc I didn't even give a thought that he was a girl. I'm prego with #7 and I'm just happy so far we are healthy we find out on the 8th the sex of this baby. But it's normal and no Matter what you will be absolutely in love

It's totally a little okay to be disappointed! You just can't dwell on it! This is my 2nd boy and most likely my last child! So while I'm not disappointed that this baby is a boy...it's just sad that now there will never be a girl. But we've had some serious issues with this pregnancy...so now of course I just want my little boy here safe and sound!

I am having my 5th boy, I was upset, slowly getting over it, but I know I will love this little guy just as much. Naming him will be the hardest part. I wanted a girl so bad because my mother and I are not close at all. I wanted to have a mother/daughter bond.

It's my first pregnancy and when I found out it's a boy, I was disappointed. But the disappointment didn't last too long. Now I'm just thankful that I have the chance to be a mother!

This is my first pregnancy,  but I wanted a boy so bad.. I got my boy! If my baby had been a girl I would have been disappointed but would have loved her just the same and been happy with her being healthy and happy.. but I do think it's okay to feel that way!

Yep. I think I am "over it" then I think about my boy I'm not having and get upset again. I am excited for my girl, but after 4 months convinced it was going to be a boy, it's an adjustment.
