breastfeeding with inverted nipples?

I'm a FTM and I have slightly inverted nipples and I'm so worried that it will cause troubles when I try to breastfeed my baby. 
Do any of you moms have experience with this and advice? 
What were your issues if you had any? 
And what helped?
I'd really appreciate any advice :)

I don't have them but I've heard nipple shields are  great in this situation.

I had flat nipples and my son didn't latch for 8 weeks he was premature and just couldn't.  I pumped constantly and kept trying with and without nipple shields. Eventually he did latch and through all this my nipples popped out - permanently!  Eight years later they are still out and I'm hoping to have an easier time with this one.

I was in the same boat, worried and embarrassed. In the end she was born and able to latch easily. We didn't have any of the problems I was anticipating. Good luck!

I have inverted nipples and do not have a problem at all. Actually one of my nipples was releasing a lot of milk. So I had boobie pads on all the time. Don't even worry about it. I think I might have produced more milk than most women who have regular nipples.

I have super inverted and it's very painful and difficult for me to try and have my babies to latch on ... so I pump and bottle feed.

I had inverted nipples. You are able to breastfeed too! Probably you need more help until it's getting easier.... Try to contact a lactation consultant by NOW! She'll help you prepare. For some woman nipple shields are great. I prefered without nipple shields.

They make a few things to help with like inverted nipples like shields and shells. Look on Medela for those or your lacation can get them for you too

If you can, I would definitely recommend meeting with a lactation consultant before you have your baby to get tips and be more prepared. I didn't and I really wish I would have. I didn't end up being successful with breastfeeding, but I've heard that many people with inverted nipples were able to breastfeed. Nipple shields definitely help!
