I started having contractions Friday morning (5/27) and knew it was the day. I went to see my midwife just to see how far I had progressed but was only a 4 and 75% effaced. She sent me home and asked that I come back around 5 pm to get checked again. When I went back the only thing that had changed was that I was fully effaced but still 4 cm. We decided for me to come back around 8 pm to stay until she was born. About 7:45pm as I was getting ready to head out I thought I peed myself. Thankfully I was wearing a pad! Haha my water had broke, which was strange because I didn't feel a pop like I had previously with my first born. Once I got to the birth center my contractions hit hard. Around 1 am on Saturday morning (5/28) my midwife checked me because I felt the urge to push. I was only 8 cm but she asked if I wanted to get into the bath, and so I did. And 12 minutes later my beautiful daughter was born!bShe weighed 9lbs6oz and was 21 1/4 inches long! I did it completely pain med free and didn't even tear enough to get stitched up! So crazy to me! We got to come home about 6 hours after she was born. I feel absolutely blessed. She is such a perfect baby already. 😍
