Do you go to your GP for birth control or do you go to a gynaecologist?

I get mine from my gyno, but that's because you have to get training to insert Nexplanon, and she was the closest one.

I have always gotten it from my GP. I'm in Canada.

I have always gotten mine from my gynocologist. It took a lot of trial & error to find the right kind of pill, plus I've had to change it (for various reasons) over the years. Birth control isn't a "one size fits all" type of thing, so it's better in the long run to just start off with a gynocologist b/c you'll need them eventually.

You may have to see your PCP to get a referral to a gyno. I'm pretty sure that's what I did before I went to the gynocologist for the first time.
