I'd prefer him not to of course because I love him to death, but he never does it in front of me. He always goes outside or waits and he has only two or three cigarettes a day so it's not too bad. It could be worse! He's already a good dad and stays away from the one year old too.

My husband has smoked more than half his life. I really wish he would quit. The smell on his hair, hands, clothes, breath, is a migraine trigger for me. You'd think he'd get tired of showering after every cigarette. I won't let him near the baby if he's just had a smoke. His doctor has warned him that he's borderline diabetic, and smoking makes it worse.

Mine had done weed and cigarettes since he was very, very, very young, but recently brought a vape pen as he is trying to stop smoking both. 
I don't mind him vaping as he is using the non-nicotine ones, I didn't mind the weed as I too have done it before, but I hated the cigarettes. 
I care for his health deeply, but I cannot stop him from doing it, so I just have to deal with it...

Mine use to smoke & weed. I really didn't like it. I'm in the military so I just didn't want to be around it plus were pregnant and I don't want that type of influence around our baby. I'll tell you this you absolutely can't change him or make him do something he doesn't want to do, I tried lol. After a while when I noticed there's nothing I could do I just prayed for him.. Everyday. I asked that he would talk about it or do it around me because it upsets me and I don't want to say anything to upset him. Then one night he came home and he told me he had a life changing experience with his friend (who use to smoke too) he told me he quit and that life is too short. He kissed me and my belly and we went to bed.
