Symptoms?

I recently got married and since about 4-5 days after our wedding night I have felt funny. I have never had a UTI but then my sister suggested I had one after I started having cramps and painful urination and slight blood, the bleeding and pain urinating stopped after only that one evening but the cramps continued a couple more days. I have been incredibly tired and have noticed a distinct odor in my urine. Is it just wishful thinking or could I be pregnant? Or is it just that I am unfamiliar with what all a UTI consists of?
